Comcast Cares Day Recap


Comcast Cares Day took place this past Saturday in the Eckington community.

Centered around Langley Education Campus, over 250 volunteers plus 200 City Year corps members and staff completed about 20 various garden-related projects which included fixing gardens, making compost bins, and making garden boxes.  Volunteers also painted about 90 inside murals ranging from banners, to canvas murals, to murals on walls, to painting trashcans and painted about 15 outside murals ranging from blacktop games, to signs. Murals focused on STEM education and inspiring students to do their best as well as furthering their education with college mascots.
