City Year Washington, DC unites young people, ages 17 to 24, from all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world.  As tutors, mentors, and role models, these young leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transform schools and neighborhoods across DC. We currently have nearly 170 corps members serving on 15 different teams in 13 different schools across the district.

Through this blog we hope to give you an inside look at City Year Washington, DC, the “Corps Experience,” and the community we serve. We also hope that this will provide a platform for conversations around the work we do to grow and flourish.
